Wade Lancaster
Wade was born and raised in Texas, and moved to Colorado as soon as he possibly could. That was 20 years ago! An occasional skier in college at New Mexico State, Wade jumped on a snowboard upon arrival to the Front Range, and has never looked back. He got into split-boarding circa 2008 on a board that he and a friend cut in his garage, and even took his AIARE 1 on that DIY splitty. Wade jumped on the Weston Team as an ambassador in 2018 and has continued to share his passion for the back-country and Beacon Bash with anyone who will listen.
A licensed health insurance advisor in his big boy job, Wade is supported in all of his endeavors by his incredible wife Abby and his amazing daughters Peyton and Rylan.

Sean Sewell
Sean loves snow - splitboarding in it, camping in it, playing in it - and staying safe in it. He is the owner and Director of Stoke for Engearment.com - an outdoor gear review and testing company that works with all your favorite ski, splitboard, camp, hike, bike and fitness companies.
When not obsessing about gear, Sean is a certified personal trainer and owner of Colorado Personal Fitness and Mountain Fitness School. He loves training clients to get into shape to enjoy all outdoor activities and adventures and loves getting them into the right gear so they can make the most of the experiences! If he’s not training his clients in the gym and in the mountains, Sean is consumed with research into the best gear technology and testing it on adventures. Sean is TRX-FORCE, NSCA-CPT, NPTI, NSNF, AIARE Level 2 and a certified gear enthusiast.
He also wrote the book on Splitboarding. He loves splitboarding that much :)
He values education, discussion and terrain choice as his guiding principles in the backcountry. The Beacon Bash is near and dear to his heart and he hopes that the events foster learning, practice and growth. Stay safe and have fun!

Rhema Wiarda
Rhema was lucky enough to attend the very first Beacon Bash and has looked forward to the event each and every single year since then! Gathering the backcountry community, learning together, supporting good causes and sharing the stoke for the upcoming season of shredding together is kinda her jam. Beacon Bash is one of the many formative experiences that lead her down the path to becoming a splitboard guide herself, and to starting her own group to uplift women in the sport, Women Who Splitboard. Rhema feels honored to be a part of the team that shapes and supports this event from here on out.
